Based in downtown Moscow, the National University of Science and Technology (MISiS) is just 2km from the Kremlin and Red Square, along the picturesque Moscow river, close to the legendary Gorky Park, Tretyakov Art Gallery and Museon Park. MISiS is the first Russian university to have been named a national research university by the Russian government, with a strong focus on fundamental and applied research and the development of new technologies.
